Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities

The Forum of Adriatic and Ionian cities, convened by ANCI initiative, and Ancona Town Council on 29th -30th April 1999, is a voluntary, nonprofit, international Association of the Municipalities that overlooks the Adriatic-Ionian basin. The founder member cities of the Forum are those that have signed the Charter of Ancona in 1999 and that underwrote the Administrative regulation. The Forum, like written in the art.1 of the Statute, has objective to construct and to develop economic, social, environmental (sustainable development) and cultural integration between the coastal cities and to contribute to the realization of European integration and to its increase, to favor the best conditions of security and legality and to the promotion of the equal opportunities between men and women. The Forum, moreover can promote and join to Associations and International Organizations with its same objectives. Once a year is programmed the plenary session in one of the cities to discuss on specific topics.
